Founded in the heart of Athens in 1947 by our grandfather, Antonatos Shoemakers is a celebration of heritage, family, and true slow fashion. From a very young age, his sons immersed themselves in the time-honoured art of leatherwork, absorbing secrets of alignment, balance, and lasting assembly before opening their own independent artisan studios in their mid-20s.

Today, that unbroken chain of mastery continues into its third generation. Working side-by-side in our Athens workshop, father and grandson seamlessly blend ancestral techniques with bold, contemporary footwear architecture.

• Anatomical Integrity: Our straps are manually lasted and dynamically balanced against our platforms and flat soles. This ensuring that foot pressure is distributed evenly, eliminating the typical "wobble" of mass-manufactured footwear.

• Premium, Mindfully Sourced Materials: We work exclusively with high-grade, full-grain genuine leathers and velvety nubucks that are pre-softened to mould uniquely to your foot's heat without blistering. From our hand-aligned, lustrous pearl backings to custom-finished gold hardware and high-density, beautifully textured wood-grain blocks, every component is selected for its weight, longevity, and tactile luxury.
